Jewish Voices for Peace Chapter Meeting
Join us THIS Sunday 10/12 from 2–4:30pm in the First Floor Meeting Room at Cleveland Park Library for our October Chapter Meeting!
This Sukkot, join your fellow JVP members as we recommit ourselves to the fight for Palestinian liberation. The Jewish celebration Sukkot, which is from 10/6–10/14 this year, normally celebrates joy, community, and rootedness. But for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, it will instead commemorate two years of genocide. That is why it is more important than ever for us to unify and organize to demand an end to the slaughter and the decades-long oppression. Come to our Chapter Meeting this Sunday to find out how!
We’ll discuss our recent progress and major actions and our plans for the future. We’ll also have fun activities to get to know each other better, and a gallery walk of our various committees so that you can decide how you want to get involved in the work.
*New member orientation takes place from 2-2:30pm before the general meeting. The general meeting will start at 2:30.*
