Westminster Presbyterian Church DC
Silent Vigil for an End to ICE and Police Violence
The recent murder of Renee Nicole Good by ICE in
Minneapolis has sparked justifiable outrage. Far
from a single incident, it’s the latest in a long-standing pattern of abusive ICE and police tactics
that actively increase fear and violence in our
communities. All people of faith and goodwill are
invited to join this peaceful witness, mourning
lives lost and calling for an end to abusive law
enforcement practices. The groups involved so far include: Peace Walks DC, the Congregation Action Network, and Washington Interfaith Network (who are working together under the banner “PEACE CAN WIN”), Jews United for Justice, and Pax Christi USA.
