Fight Trump’s Corrupt White House Ballroom Scheme
Public Citizen
Public pressure works. At their last meeting, Trump’s hand-picked commissioners failed to push through his shady White House ballroom scheme. Now they’re trying again—and we need to be even louder.
Trump’s plan would bolt a massive, flashy ballroom onto the White House—bankrolled by him and his wealthy allies and donors. They’re calling it a “gift,” but let’s be clear: this is a backdoor attempt to buy influence, stamp his name and legacy onto a public building, and turn the people’s house into a playground for the rich and well-connected. It’s corrupt, it’s unethical, and it’s an insult to the public.
The National Capital Planning Commission should not be rubber-stamping a vanity project driven by private money and political cronies. We’re showing up to demand transparency, accountability, and to stop this power grab in its tracks.
Join Public Citizen outside the Commission before their next meeting and help us keep the pressure on. Bring your energy—we’ll bring the signs.
