This September, the We Are America March (www.weareamericamarch.com) will be carrying a copy of the Constitution‬ (written by kids from all over the country!) 160 miles from Philadelphia to DC. Our goal‬ is twofold:‬ ‭ • To deliver our Constitution to Congress as a powerful reminder that the next‬ generation is watching, and they deserve a government that honors the founding‬ promise.‬ ‭ •To build a network of communities with the skills and confidence to sustain non-violent‬ resistance and enact positive social and political change.‬ ‭ The march will end with a Rally on the National Mall. Here, we will greet the marchers‬ as they arrive in DC. We will line the National Mall path and join the marchers for the‬ last leg of their journey. The marchers will end their march at the Rally stage on the‬ eastern end of the National Mall, by 3rd St. SW.‬ ‭ Join 50501-DC to cheer the marchers on, display your signs, and demand that Congress honor their‬ Constitutional responsibility to provide checks and balances in our government!‬
