Jewish Voices for Peace -JVP - DC Metro

Political Prisoners Solidarity Letter Writing

join the Coalition for Civil Freedoms, the DC Alliance Against Racism and Political Repression, and Jewish Voice for Peace-DC Metro for an afternon of solidarity via letterwriting to political prisoners. In our current moment of rising fascism and political repression, solidarity with incarcerated people is increasingly foundational to our work toward collective liberation. Speakers and letterwriting will be followed by conversation about how to make engagement with incarcerated individuals a part of our lives and political practice. We will be at MLK Library on Sunday, September 21st from 2-4pm learning from system-impacted speakers with CCF and DCAARPR before writing to incarcerated participants in their penpal programs. Whether you are interested in correspondence with these individuals or just want to learn from speakers and conversation, you are welcome.
