THE TARGET BOYCOTT IN DC - WHAT'S NEXT

Boycott Target DC Coalition

We’re back! Come join us on Monday, April 20 as we bring our community together to discuss the next phase of the Target boycott in DC. Since the March 11 announcement of the Target Fast ending, many sections of the boycott movement (including ours) announced that we are continuing to boycott Target until they publicly acknowledge the harm they inflicted on the Black community and truly invest in our people and not just give symbolic gestures. We recognize that some movement has been made in terms of negotiations and being brought to the table, but also recognize that Target has not done enough to be seen as a true supporter of our community. What they care about at the end of the day is their bottom line and will continue to chip away at sections of our movement to bring them their share value and profits back to where they were before the boycott. We will not be gaslit! Join us as we give an update on where we are in DC, in terms of negotiations with Target and how we move forward on our boycott efforts in DC. We invite sections of the Black, Latino, women, LGBTQ+ small business community, organized labor representing Black, Latino, women and LGBTQ+ workers, Black and brown clergy, civil rights leaders, community leaders, and more. Come with questions, comments, concerns and interest in getting involved. We need all of us organized in order to make this a successful effort. 📆Monday, April 20 ⏱️6:30-8:30p 📍Fellowship Baptist Church
