We the People - Not Data Centers

#ShutDownDC

Description from @thirdactorg Actions Lab: The rapid proliferation of data centers comes at a significant cost to the environment and with a significant threat to democracy. In response, Actions Lab will be convening in Washington DC on April 21 at the prestigious Data Center World conference to demand a MORATORIUM ON THE APPROVAL AND CONSTRUCTION OF NEW DATA CENTERS. Event: We the People - Not Data Centers Date/Time: Tuesday, April 21, 10:30 am Location: Apple Carnegie Library, 801 K Street NW, Washington, DC 20001 We’ll begin with a walking tour of the Tech Oligarchy - Apple, META, Open AI, and Microsoft - and expose how their multibillion-dollar, "gold rush" to build AI-focused data centers has captured federal, state, and local governments; destroyed the environment; and threatened communities across the country. We’ll conclude at the Data Center World conference and raise our voices to demand NO MORE DATA CENTERS.
