A World Without Genocide - The case of Sudan

Darfur Women Action Group

You are invited to join an event on “A World Without Genocide - The case of Sudan” hosted by Darfur Women Action Group, in partnership with No Business With Genocide, Genocide Watch, and Alliance Against Genocide in commemoration of Genocide Awareness Month. The event will focus on the ongoing atrocities and humanitarian crisis in Sudan, and explore what can be done to stop the current crises and prevent future atrocities. This program will bring together Genocide prevention scholars, advocates and Sudanese Civil Society to address the current situation in Sudan, the persisting genocide, impunity for serious international crimes, and the way forward. The discussion will center survivor experiences and examine how global political and economic factors can enable or can be leveraged to help prevent genocide. Participants will also deliberate on practical tools for advocacy, including ways to engage policymakers, support accountability efforts, and take action against the financing of mass atrocities. This event will be held in Washington, D.C. in a hybrid format. Breakfast will be provided in-person. Registration is required in advance and by no later than Wednesday, April 22nd.
