We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings. What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever. As winter begins to fade and the light of spring returns, we look forward to celebrating something profoundly human — the No Kings Festival, on March 28th. This is not just another event on the calendar. It’s a moment for all of us — neighbors, friends, families, and communities — to come together in peace, unity, diversity, and love. In a time when so much of the world feels divided and loud with anger, we choose another path. We choose joy. We choose hope. The No Kings Festival honors the idea that no one stands above another — that freedom, equality, and community are worth celebrating. We gather not in protest, but in celebration — dancing, singing, making music, and sharing in the rhythm of a drum circle that reminds us that happiness itself is resistance. There will be laughter. There will be singing, there will be the sounds of people coming together not to escape reality, but to build something stronger: the spirit of connection that no crown could ever grant. Let’s show that we still believe in the power of kindness, creativity, and collective joy. Let’s remind ourselves and one another why we thrive without kings — because true strength rises from community, compassion, and care for one another. Join us on March 28th from 1-3 at the Haywood County Court house to celebrate the beauty of being human — unruled, unbroken, and united in hope. A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
