Join National Nurses United on September 12th for our National VA Day of Action to demand Members of Congress stand with the veteran patients who rely on the VA and the nurses and federal workers who keep the department running! Nurses and labor and community allies will be outside of NC Senator Budd's office starting at 12pm on 9/12 demanding he sign our petition to stand with veterans and VA workers, not the billionaire class! We'll be delivering a petition asking him to: -Restore collective bargaining rights for VA nurses and federal employees to give our workers the tools they need to protect patient care. -Fight against a future Reduction in Force or hiring freeze and the VA so that the VA can restore its facilities to safe staffing levels. -End the cycle of funneling money from the VA and into the private sector in the next appropriations process. It’s time for our elected Representatives to stand with us in our fight for a fully funded VA where our workers have the resources and protected rights to provide safe patient care.
