Save the Post Office(from mismanagement)
Next Generation Carriers
The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) is the labor union representing letter carriers at USPS. The NALC and USPS will start contract negotiations on February 25th 2026. The starting pay for a letter carrier across the nation is: $21.21 with very little benefits and no retirement.
The Office of Inspector General (OIG) just released a report stating that USPS management have from 2022 - 2024 wasted nearly $1 Billion dollars on violating the labor union contracts. Now USPS is crying poor.
We, the letter carriers, are rallying across the nation stating: "America deserves 1st Class Service" and to achieve that we need "1st Class Pay" / $30/hour starting pay.
Customers across the nation are tired of getting their mail late because of staffing issues, we need to raise the pay, to a living wage, so we can have again a reliable workforce.
We're also demanding that we shrink bloated management. Currently there's 1 manager for every 7 Letter Carriers. In the 1990s when there was more mail and magazines there was 1 manager for every 21 Letter Carriers. We're demanding: "1 manager for every 30 Letter Carriers".
