Mahoning County Commissioners Meeting & Courthouse Rally Thursday, January 15th Gather at 9:30 AM | Meeting begins at 10:00 AM Mahoning County Courthouse – 120 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44503 Join concerned residents, community advocates, and members of the Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters as we attend the Mahoning County Commissioners meeting to share critical information and testimony regarding: Conditions inside the Mahoning County Jail Incarcerated individuals’ experiences Concerns surrounding the county’s active contract with ICE ICE and Homeland Security agencies have repeatedly engaged in illegal and immoral practices — including civil rights violations, unlawful detention of legal residents and U.S. citizens, and abuse of power through physical violence. Our community has a responsibility to demand transparency, oversight, and accountability from the officials who oversee our local systems. Public Participation: Everyone is welcome to attend and observe. Anyone who wishes to make a public statement is encouraged to do so. If you plan to speak as part of the MVFF coalition, please submit your written statement at least 48 hours in advance to: [email protected] Weekly Ongoing Effort: This action is part of a continuing effort called the County Commissioner Education Project. County Commissioners meet every Thursday at 10:00 AM. Any schedule changes or updates will be emailed to all registered participants. Outdoor Rally Details: We will gather as a group outside the courthouse at 9:30 AM. A simultaneous rally will begin outside at 9:45 AM. All rally participants should remain on the sidewalks. We encourage everyone to bring their signs, friends, and to stand in solidarity with us as we advocate for our neighbors.
