This a local Indivisible event! Come out and join us on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 2 - 3PM to walk, stand, or sit in order to make Yuma aware of the signs of fascism. This awareness walk will feature 20 volunteers (mostly dressed in black) walking about 15 feet apart with uniform posters stating different “signs” that a country is sliding to or already in fascism. That group will walk along Giss Parkway around City Hall for a continuous loop during the hour of awareness! Other participants may join the main walking group or sit/stand along Giss Parkway with signs addressing fascism or simply in opposition to our current administration’s harmful or illegal actions. Please come out and join us. This event is being coordinated at the same time as the nationwide Women’s Free America (from fascism) Walkout! A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
