This a local Indivisible event! Join me as I walk every morning in front of the Yuma County Superior Courthouse with my signs to support judicial independence, our democracy and equal rights for all. Basically, I greet the employees and court visitors such as potential jurors as they are arriving. Sometimes we need to be available often and close enough that people can ask questions. I have been doing this for 17 weeks on a daily basis whenever the court is open. Some good conversations have occurred because by now the court employees are used to me and know me and we do reach people one on one. I would love to have you join me one day or every day. I never know when there’s going to be a large jury pool but it’s always good to have another person or two during those days because it’s hard to cover where the employees start their walk to the building and where the jurors are waiting to go in. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
