The incident occurred outside an apartment complex in Northridge, Los Angeles, during a New Year's Eve celebration On January 7th, an American citizen was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities. Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old intensive care nurse, was shot and killed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents on January 24, 2026, during an immigration enforcement protest where he defended women being attacked by ice in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
