Join us for People Over War as part of Peace Week: A Week of Action. On Tuesday, April 14, and Thursday, April 16, we’ll gather at 3211 Peoples St. in Johnson City (in front of Pet Smart) from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM to stand together and make our voices heard. Our government is spending roughly $1 billion a day on wars while people here at home struggle to afford rent, food, and healthcare. We believe it’s time to put people over war. This is a visible, public demonstration, and everyone is welcome whether you’ve protested before or not. Parking is easy, and we always have extra signs available—so come as you are and stand with others in our community calling for peace and investment in people. A core principle behind all Indivisible Tri-Cities TN Inc. events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
